.NYC is a generic top-level domain (gTLD) delegated in the DNS root zone. The registry operator responsible for .NYC is listed by IANA as The City of New York by and through the New York City Department of Information Technology & Telecommunications. Anyone can typically register a .NYC name through an accredited registrar, subject to the registry’s registration policy and ICANN consensus policies.

.nyc is a top level domain (TLD) for New York City. It was delegated to the root zone by ICANN on March 20, 2014. In May 2018, the .nyc registry updated its WHOIS access policy to protect personally identifiable information of domain registrants.
